Only with the high-performance sports brake system, in combination with high power and a sports suspension, can the perfect synthesis of driving dynamics and active safety be achieved.

The 6-piston HEICO high-performance sports brake system sets standards in terms of deceleration, dosing and stability. The brake callipers are designed for maximum stiffness and made of high-strength aircraft aluminium, which reduces the unsprung mass by an impressive 2.5 kilograms per brake caliper compared to the already very good Polestar brake system and thus benefits the driving dynamics.

Together with the 396 millimetre large, perforated and internally ventilated brake discs, the steel flex brake lines and the tuned sports brake pads, this results in a fast, powerful and well controllable response and a shortened braking distance. A V60 T6 Recharge (with a full tank and identical Pirelli P Zero tyres) stops after an impressive 33.3 metres at full braking from 100 km/h and decelerates with 1.36 g at peak. The comparable series values are 37.8 metres and 1.33 g.

Special
Significantly larger brake disc diameter and thickness compared to series, more cross holes (each pre-cast hole is re-drilled and countersunk, which has a favourable effect in terms of flow). Thermally quenched and tempered brake discs. The complex design of the brake disc increases the surface area by around 80 %. This considerably reduces the temperature of the brake disc and thus also its wear. At the same time, this increases the stability.
